Rain Gardens
A rain garden uses amended soil and native plants to absorb water over time. During a rain storm, the rain garden fills up with water which is absorbed by the plants and filtered down into the ground in the days that follow.
Often times we use rain gardens as an endpoint for drain tile or a creek bed when there are no good options for further water diversion.
Rain gardens are also a great option for lake properties where draining storm water into the lake is prohibited.
